Fort Sumters

Dear Hatem,
I am currently fight in the Battle of Fort Sumter.
The confederate General Beauregard, shot fort Sumter with 50 cannons, and this was when the civil war had begun. Our unit was very big, because we basically had 11 states favoring our side, so we had a lot of protection. Our weaponry is also very good, the weapons we mainly use are guns, and off coarse our big cannons. Our leader was our general Rober E.Lee our war hero. It felt pretty good to be a Union soldier, we had won a lot, and you also feel that you are serving you’re country, it also feels good when you are fighting those Southern people. The uniforms we had to wear were very patriotic. We mostly had to eat canned food, since we did not have time to make big meals. We also mostly had to sleep in these tiny bunks, with many people sleeping together with you. At first when I was fighting against other Americans if felt weird, but then I started realizing that we where right all along, and that we should win. I also we never join the confederate because I was from the North, and we where the winners.
